Pump Era

In the era of ‘go for the pump’ weight training, we have forgotten what works for building solid muscle, and powerful strength.  The 3 day a week full body workout plan.  It is the good old stand by that never fails to produce great results.  The idea that you are not going to grow if you train a muscle group more than one time a week is old hat.  I am going to tell you that the 3 day a week, full body blast is the best way that you can break a rut, or just get stronger.  Forget the muscle group split for a while, and do full body workouts for a month, and see how you do.  It is one of, if not the best weight training strategies that you can use.

If you are just getting started, and you are listening to your gym buddies tell you that you should be doing a 6 day a week muscle group split you might want to step back, and get to the basics so that you can build the foundation that you need to make good progress.  If you have been training for a couple of years, and you are not producing the results that you would like to the same goes for you.  They are a good workout program for belly fat too.

After trainers get a couple of years under their belt many times they want to switch over to the muscle group split system. some of the time this is something that works, and some of the time it does not.  You might think that you are in good shape, but wait until you start doing full body training.
