Wind Farms Capable of Altering Local Weather

In a study published recently by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), it was revealed that large wind farms can have a significant effect on near-surface air temperatures. It is believed that the changes are caused by the turbulence created by the rotor blades which, if altered in sized, would limit the impact on the surrounding temperatures.

Agricultural inspectors often work for government offices that establish and enforce health and safety regulations regarding the food supply. These inspectors make sure that farms and processing plants are following the proper procedures where food safety is concerned. This usually involves testing livestock for harmful diseases and inspecting food for dangerous microbes and other contaminants.
